Making a Difference in Communities

In the Spring of 2012 our United for Hope Volunteer Team participated in a Cancer Mission to Jamaica, we delivered gifts of medicines, medical supplies and toiletries to individuals in communities and the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital. We volunteered with the Group at the Hospital and (5) of the outlying low-income Community Health Clinics there, including an old Baptist Church in a remote community converted into a a Day Clinic. We helped conduct cancer screenings, tests, treatments and counseling to less fortunate people. We are fulfilled in the thought knowing that we helped change the lives of many for the better.
“Christmas in Springtime” Collection Drive 2013

United for Hope has spearheaded a "Christmas in Springtime" collection drive to donate to the less fortunate in the Houston community which will include workers with low income, those with no income, homeless individuals, children and families. Items being collected are - new clothing for youths including girls underwears, hygiene supplies, baseball caps, reading glasses, sunshades, safety glasses, old and used prescription glasses. School supplies of books, pencils and pens, back-packs and school bags etc. Cut-off date for items is April 15th, 2013.

Offering FORT BEND Youths the Gift of a Lifetime

Our Foundation has fully committed to Educational Programs in the community, an effective cause that takes effect this Summer of 2013. One is a GED and Computer Training and Mentorship Program open to youths in Fort Bend and Greater Houston Communities in the USA, to help advance youth uncertainties, program to impact and empower youths in the community, offering them a second chance to become sustainable productive citizens for future community leadership.
The other is a Bio-Medical Technology Training and Certification Program, a much needed program to help boost the Healthcare Facilities in Jamaica, made possible through the efforts of our Bio-Medical Life Tech Engineer on board the Foundation. We are striving to help sponsor a team of technically inclined students accredited through the Hospital System of Jamaica that comes under the recommendation of the Jamaican Government and the Ministry of Health. This Program serves to promote, benefit and improve the Healthcare Industry.

Getting Ready for Mission 2013

Due to observations of the financially strapped Health Facilities in Jamaica and also to serve as a Hurricane Relief Effort our Volunteer Team has committed to a Follow-Up Medical Mission to Jamaica May 6-14, 2013, to help promote and improve quality of life for the less advantaged in communities.
On this Mission we will provide dental services, conduct treatments and tests, donate and distribute Medicines, Supplies and Hospital Equipments as indicated on a Wish List that addresses "urgent need."
We are planning to utilize the services of a Mobile Clinic to set up Day-Clinics on sites at designated schools, churches and/or community centers in remote regions.
